Tacchella Proflex external / internal cylindrical grinding machines are the complete answer for those who need more grinding operations on the same machine and always reconfigurable over time: Tacchella Proflex is a real grinding center that can be customized according to the customer’s needs and the technical theme.
Its fundamental characteristic lies in the various possible configurations of the wheelhead, which allow you to position multiple tools in various configurations, up to 4 wheels (conventional or CBN).

Workhead, with fixed and rotating spindle, is perfect for grinding between the centers and between centers on chuck. Manufactured with high-precision bearings, which guarantee the highest roundness accuracy of less than 0.001 mm, the new workhead can be on a swivelling base, with the option of a micrometric adjustment device. Progressive speed variation is by means of a Brushless AC motor, while to facilitate movement during machine set-up, the unit is equipped with a lightening system.
Tailstock is hydraulically operated: equipped with a safety device for tightening between the tips and axial load adjustment, has an integrated micrometric correction system of the cylindricity of the piece and a pneumatic lightening mechanism to facilitate movement during the machine set-up.
As an option, on the fixed longitudinal bench it can be added the W Axis variable length module, which allows rapid adjustment to the length of the piece to be ground, drastically reducing set-up.
Wheel holder unit
The wheel carriage guarantees maximum compactness and better smoothness of the machine. The adoption of crossed guides, transverse "X" Axis and longitudinal "Z" Axis, make it possible to minimize the overall dimensions on the ground by rationalizing the arrangement of the fluidic and electrical systems. The carriage runs thanks to high precision Ball Screws, coupled directly to the digitally controlled Brushless AC motor.
The numerous configurations of the wheelhead, which can be equipped with conventional wheels and / or CBN high speed cutting wheels (opt.), can be effectively used thanks to the freely programmable orientation of the wheel carriage (Axis B) from -30 ° up to +210 °

Software Tool Operator Package
Our interactive software T.O.P. (Tool Operator Package), dedicated to grinding, guides the operator step by step on how to operate the machine in compliance with safety regulations. The software allows to easily manage automatic grinding cycles, roughing, semi-finishing, finishing and flash hider during plunge grind and reciprocating grind cycles. This man-machine interface uses a few simple pages with graphic support. The operator can set up operations to perform through guided procedures and the execution of all available workings.

The Proflex grinding machine was created to satisfy the most diverse grinding needs, from medium-high production batches. It is able to grind diameters from 10 mm up to 400 mm, piece lengths up to 1600 mm in the 2100 version.
It is able to grind external and internal diameters, shoulders, conical and spherical surfaces, as well as polygons and eccentric shafts.
